Shinsen studied painting first with Seihō Takeuchi, then at the Kyōto City School of Arts and Crafts and finally at the Kyōto City College of Painting. He used the nihonga style for his flower and (or) bird paintings and fifteen examples are shown here. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
